The Île Saint Louis is one of the two islands on the Seine river, right in the center of Paris, five minutes walking distance from Notre Dame on the Île de la Cité. On the other side, the Louvre and the Rue de Rivoli (shopping area) are just a short walk away. Île St Louis has grown to become a very posh location where celebrities and diplomats have their residences. This is also a true Parisian location with lively restaurants & beautiful Parisian cafés and traditional market places & grocery stores.

This luxurious apartment is located in one of the most beautiful mansions of Île Saint Louis the Hotel Charron built in 1640 to house the wealthy Charron family, which is today registered as a historical monument with the Ministry of Culture. Overlooking a spacious and sunny courtyard, you will hear only the birds in the garden under your windows. Its six windows facing west overlook a garden with beautiful roses and hydrangeas and receive plenty of sunshine. In addition, small windows high up on the eastern wall (called “jours de souffrance”) let the morning sun brighten the living room. The apartment is composed of a large beamed living room/dining room. The living room is very bright all day long and comfortable with two sofas on which you can slouch in front of the fireplace while watching the evening news on CNN, BBC or the European networks. It’s furnished with authentic family heirlooms ( a XVth century chest, a Louis XVI writing table, beautiful prints etc…). The spacious dining table in the living room sits easily six persons so you can even invite your friends for dinner if you so desire.

Both bedrooms are perfectly quiet. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed. The master bedroom has a very large wardrobe, all along the wall and the other bedroom benefits of an antique chest of drawers. The modern equipped bathroom (towel heater, washer dryer) has a large bathtub and shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with all the necessary cutlery so you don’t have to go out every day for lunch or dinner. A small table in the kitchen will allow you to have your breakfast in a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom and kitchen have been newly renovated.

Extra amenities: You can call all over France and certain other countries for free from the telephone in the apartment, and there is a WiFi Broadband Internet connection if you are traveling with your computer.
