Detailed description

Rue Séguier next to the river Seine was the residence of nobles & aristocrats during the reign of Philippe Auguste. The location is just next to the lively place St Michel near the beautiful Quai des Grands Augustins. The Notre Dame and the Seine are a short walk from the apartment. The apartment is in an ancient XVII century building which is a French historical monument. Like a traditional hôtel particulier, the building has a colossal main entrance and a courtyard with trees and stone footsteps leading to the building entrance. The apartment has exotic views of the Seine and the Right Bank (St Chapelle) from its large French windows. The interior has been elegantly decorated with traditional colours and a touch of vivrance. Ancient stone tiles on floors give the rooms a solid character while wallpapers in egg-yolk yellow and garden plants enrich the vivrance and liveliness of the atmosphere. The living room is elegantly furnished with comfortable sofa and an elegant office area overlooking the Seine. There is a beautiful library with several books on art & literature. On the other end is a spacious dining table for accommodating a party of 6. All modern amenities are provided including two TV's with international channels and a Broadband Internet connection.

The master bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed and a private study. Beautiful wallpaper picturing trees & plants lend a touch of nature. The second bedroom has two comfortable beds for two single persons. It is also complete with private study. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking utensils & dishes and moden equipment such as microwave oven, traditional oven, ceramic cooking range, Espresso coffee machine, toaster, etc. There is also a convenient washing machine & dryer. The bathroom has a luxury bathtub and shower. It is adorned with different miniature paintings. Sufficient towels and linen are provided. A telephone is provided for receiving calls and making local calls.

Note: The rental prices on our website are generally very stable. However, in the Easter, Christmas & New Year period some owners may charge a premium. Please check with us regarding the correct price.

Testimonial
Walter & Jennifer - Sydney, Australia: We rented the flat in Autumn and we had a wonderful stay there. It was clean, neat and very well appointed. And there were no surprises so it was very well represented on the internet. It was a fabulous way for us to enjoy Paris but have some of the comforts of home. Thank you! My partner and her 2 teenage daughters and I stayed found the apartment perfect for our needs. It was very comfortable, well appointed, more than adequate for 4 people and really well located- near St Michel metro, the Seine, Notre Dame, Boulevard St Germain, very good restaurants. The owner of the apartment (who lived above the apartment) was very helpful and hospitable. I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to anyone contemplating a visit to Paris.

Guy L. from Australia: the agent from ApartRentals for the apartment were very professional, efficient and a pleasure to deal with.

Audrey & Peter from USA in February 2006: It is a perfect location, within walking distance of five great museums, around the corner from fantastic restaurants, attractive to spend time in, clean and comfortable. It was fun to make breakfast in the pretty kitchen and to have all the markets and shops nearby to make life lovely and French. Other practical things were warmth, great water pressure and a seemingly endless supply. of hot water.
