This is a luxury 2-bedrooms apartment located in an upscale residential street next to the Arc de Triomphe. The beautiful Avenue des Champs Elysées with its restaurants, Parisian cafés and shopping malls is just a few steps from this apartment. This is a very prestigious and safe location where several French ministries and foreign embassies are located.

Dorothy from Hawaii:The apartment is less that a block away from the Arc de Triomphe with a nice lift. It is spacious and beautfully appointed with antique furnishings. It was the only apartment on the fourth floor. There are high ceilings with decorative mouldings and lots of interesting archetectural details. The living room and dining room are very spacious. The bedrooms were very large and commodious with feather pillows and antique armoires. The kitchen is small but well-equipped and very serviceable with full dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, refrigerator and hot water heater. We were delighted with the washing machine which also serves as a dryer so that we could put in our laundry before we left the house and come back hours later and have clean dry clothes. The bathroom also had a towel warmer. We enjoyed playing the wonderful piano which was amazingly in tune and has a lovely tone. There were beautfiul sconces and chandeliers everywhere. It was nice to have internet access and be able to stay in contact with relatives from home. Next door was a small sushi stand, and at the end of the street facing avenue MacMahon, a nice boulangerie where there were pret-a-porter foods. Just half a block from there was the supermarche where we shopped. The apartment was also equipped with a little shopping cart which was very handy. Across the street is the world famous Guy Savoy restaurant as well as the Club Etoile, a private cinema club. Although it is close to the Arc de Triomphe, it is situated on a quiet street between two "spokes" or streets emanating from the Etoile. At the other end of the street facing Avenue Wagram, there are the taxi-stands, newspaper kiosk and metro stop. In addition, the owner had many helpful guidebooks like boutique gourmand and Lebey 2006 guide to restaurants. The kitchen was
stocked with all essentials like oil, spices, and all sorts of kitchen gadgetry. We were very comfortable and happy there. Every morning, we would have breakfast on the sunny dining table and listen to the classical radio station. It was nice just to sit in front of one of those open French windows and look out across the street while enjoying your tea and pain au chocolat. It was an exceptional location and made our stay in Paris extraordinarily homey and full of wonderful memories. We miss it. |
