The fabled Latin Quarter takes its name from the Sorbonne, where Latin was the common tongue for all students during the Middle Ages. In the 13th century, a certain Robert de Sorbon opened a college for poor students in the area. This turned soon into the later world famous "université la Sorbonne".

Other prestigious institutions settled down here: College de France, Ecole Normale Superieure, Ecole de Medecine, and the Faculte de Droit, Lycee Louis le Grand and Henri IV, to name only a few of them. Here the French elite is crammed for a career in the high spheres of the French republic.

The neighborhood has the feel of a small village and students mix freely with professionals in its winding streets. The rue Mouffetard is a primary artery where shops, international restaurants and student bars and cafés are found.

This is a nice two-roomed apartment located a few steps away from Place Mouffetard, les Arènes de Lutèce, and the Panthéon. The Notre Dame is also walking distance from this apartment. It is in a nice building overlooking a quiet pedestrian street. It is on the third floor and has been renovated recently.

Each room has parquet floors, white walls, attractive modern furnishings and pretty curtains. The main entrance gives way to a small corridor that provides access to the living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is fully-equipped with modern attachments such as microwave, fridge, cooking range, white cabinets and beige tilework.

Across the kitchen is the beige-tiled bathroom with a huge bath and washbasin with 24 hours running hot & cold water. The bedroom looks out to a wonderful garden. It has a king-sized bed, a large wardrobe, and is really bright and quiet!

There is 24 hours unlimited Hi-Speed Internet connectivity for free. There is a cable TV connection with English channels (CNN, BBC, etc).
